The player must check travelers entering Arstotzka for proper documentation and grant them access or deny them entry accordingly. They must ensure that no person enters without the correct paperwork and that nobody leaves without being inspected. If the player refuses entry to a traveler without a valid passport or other legal papers, then they are fine by their superiors and must pay out of their own pocket in order to continue working at the checkpoint.
